Chris E. is an amazing guide. Highly recommend. We were beginner hikers at the time and upon meeting Chris he immediately put our minds at ease. Being our 2nd trip to the Grand Canyon, we wanted a hike as part of our experience. We took it slow and at our own pace. Chris was a wealth of knowledge about the Grand Canyon flora and fauna. He told us all about the area, making the hike pass quickly! We only hiked as far as we felt comfortable, but Chris was very encouraging telling us to keep going if we wanted to. We were impressed by his many years of hiking knowledge and experience. We also were relieved to know he has extensive first aid skills as well. (thankfully we didn't need it!) We have already booked our next trip next year with Chris! Highly recommend.

5/5 Stars – Outstanding Guide for Grand Canyon Adventures! I had the pleasure of hiking with Chris in the Grand Canyon, and he was absolutely fantastic. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, patient, and enthusiastic guide who truly knows the trails inside and out, Chris is the one. He knows every viewpoint, pictograph, hidden gem, and little detail along the way. It felt like having a walking encyclopedia of the canyon — he pointed out things I never would have noticed on my own and made the experience so much richer. Whether you want to move quickly with the fastest hikers in the group or take it slow to soak it all in, he adapts perfectly to the pace of the people he’s guiding. No one gets left behind, and everyone has a great time. Chris clearly loves what he does, and his expertise and positive energy made the whole trip memorable. Highly recommend booking with him through TLC — you won’t regret it!
Thanks, Chris — can’t wait to get back out there with you someday! 🙌

I had THE BEST TIME on multiple hikes in the grand canyon with Chris. I was with my best friend and we learned so much from him along the way. There was no pressure to go fast or slow down or stop or not stop. It was catered to exactly what we wanted to experience. That was truly the difference between TLC and other guide companies. They care about the experience you have. I felt safe and connected to the world in a whole new way. I highly recommend TLC and will definitely be back for more good times.

The Grand Canyon is such a massive place to behold, so I was extremely thankful Chris was our guide. Right from the start, he made our group feel safe and confident. He shared many stories on the trail, mostly about the canyon and the plant and animal life that calls it home. I loved how he explained how indigenous peoples utilized certain plants for food and practical resources—it really made me feel connected to the land we were walking on and to the deep history it holds. The trail lunches he prepared for us were refreshing and delicious... and learning the famous 'rest step' saved us all as we ascended back to the rim! Thank you, Chris!
